Great Christian Thinkers (17th - 19th century)

Old Geezers

Paul writes: “When I was a child I spoke as a child  . . .  ”  If a person’s language can change within the span of his life, how much more will modes of thinking and expression change over 100’s of years?  The vocabulary and syntax of Christian authors from 17th, 18th & 19th Centuries is so different to that of our day, that their ideas become almost inaccessible.  And yet there is both wisdom and delight to be had from their writing.  The “Old Geezers” section seeks to precis the thoughts and passions of older authors and present them in a current, more comprehensible vogue.
